THE concept of mum and wife strikes has taken off recently as women reevaluate their roles in the home.
Channel 5's Mums On Strike, has left viewers shocked at what some women have to put up with from their families.
In tonight's episode, 40-year-old Simone reached her final straw over husband Michael's messy habits.
The Brummy couple said it was love at first site when they first met at the Hard Rock Café.
However, things have not been quite as smooth sailing for the pair ever since.
After having daughter Mia, 10, Simone hoped that her husband would curtail his messiness.

Michael, a professionally trained chef, continued to whip up a storm in the kitchen.
However, this meant Simone was constantly left cleaning up not just his dishes but other areas of the house too.
She complained to the camera about her husband's extensive trainer collection.
Simone admitted that she was considering moving to a granny flat to get away from the never-ending chores.

In a less extreme approach, she decided to spend some time away getting pampered.
As they watched Michael struggle to keep the household afloat, Channel 5 viewers all had similar things to say.
"Said it last week and I'm saying it again, why are any of these couples even still together?" asked one person.
They went on to describe the married pair as "pathetic" for their messy lifestyle.
"I TOTALLY get where these mums are coming from," said a sympathetic viewer.
"I think dad needs more exercise like hoovering or running up the stairs," joked another fan.
And it wasn't just women who related to what they saw on the episode.
