A BRIDE-TO-BE has revealed her distress after hearing what her sister's boyfriend's ‘attention-seeking’ plan he has for her wedding day.
The woman, who has remained anonymous, now feels like she is in a limbo as she only found out five days before her special day.
Even worse, she also received a bad reaction from her family when she went to them for support after expressing her concern about his plan.
She revealed that her sister’s boyfriend is planning to propose on her wedding day, and that it was going to be a part of his speech.
The bride-to-be went to her parents, who are paying for the wedding, but found that everyone is “against” her and was also told she was being “ungrateful.”
Taking to online forum Reddit, the bride-to-be wrote a post asking the other users for advice.

“I said no.”
The bride then revealed that her mum suggested she act like she was tossing the bouquet but then give it to her instead.
She continued: “So my mum suggested tossing the bouquet. I would go and give it to her like on TikTok and he would propose. I said no.”
The bride’s mum then got angry with her and said that it “wouldn’t steal from” her party.
She adds: “My mum got angry when I still said please no, because this suggestion would be at the end of my party anyway. And wouldn’t steal from my party.
“I am not good at writing these things so I am sorry if I am leaving out plenty but I can’t stop crying.”

She then asked Reddit users if she was being unfair about her suggestion as “sometimes I feel that I am, sometimes I feel I am not.”
The bride finishes it by writing: “I want to stay anonymous so I will not be answering questions about my location or names.”
The post caused a lot of reactions with over 4.7k people sharing their views.
Many sided with the bride, and were not in favour of their family’s views.
One wrote: “It's incredibly selfish of your mother and sister's bf to hijack the one day where you're the star and push all the attention to someone else. It's your day.
“You get this one day. He can propose at the next morning brunch if he likes…”
Wedding Guest Outfit Etiquette
If you're struggling to decided on a dress to see you through wedding season, here's a few rules on what not to wear so you don't get in trouble.
- Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom.
- Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided.
- Any colour that could be picked up as white or cream - even if it's not.
- Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered.
- Wearing white is a massive no-no if you're not the bride.
Another added: “She should make a comment about how tacky and classless it is for people to propose at another wedding in her speech.
“Get the idea in people's heads before it happens.”
A third suggested: “Get your husband to say in his speech how pleased he is that his beautiful wife is getting her special day and anyone planning on spoiling that by announcing babies, proposing or even just football results can leave now!
“Then he will look like an AH (a**hole) if he does it.
