GETTING a bargain is something we all love, but one woman hit the jackpot with her eBay find.

Penny took to social media to show off her mystery box filled with jewellery she bought for just £70 - and there were lots of designer goodies hidden inside.

In the clip, she said: "I spent £70 on this job lot of jewellery.

"It is definitely worth more than that, so it's okay. But I did let my competitive side get the best of me."

She revealed she got stuck in a bidding war on eBay for the mystery box and thankfully won.

It's worth noting that mystery boxes are exactly that - a mystery, so there's no way to know what you'll get inside or if it's worth the money you spend.

Penny first picked out a Nomination charm bracelet, adding 'we're off to a good start.'

There were some custom jewellery bangles as well as a diamond encrusted Micheal Kors bangle, although Penny wasn't sure if it was real or fake.

Her next designer find was a Juicy Couture charm bracelet which had mulptiple charms on including a cheque book, gun and bag that retails online for £60 alone.

She also got a chunky charm bracelet watch from DKNY which retails for £50 - meaning she had already made her money back with her finds.

But her haul didn't stop there, she also grabbed a Kirks Folly charm bracelet in gold - a brand she wanted to own for ages and was chuffed to find it in her mystery bundle.

Next she found a YSL love heart locket which had lipstick inside which sells for £130 online.

Last but not least she found a Swavoski dog brooch which sell for £30 as well.

The clip has since gone viral on her TikTok account @with over 77k views and 6,000 likes.

People were quick to take to the comments in awe of her haul.

One person wrote: "You definitely hit the jackpot there."

"Right!!! You should get yourself a bundle hehe," replied Penny.

Another commented: "That DKNY chunky charm bracelet is actually STUNNING."

"Omg what a haul!! I’m so happy for you," penned a third.

Where to find mystery boxes

MYSTERY boxes are becoming more and more popular, with people keen to take a gamble in buying one. But where can you get one from?

Charity shops

Lots of charity shops have started putting together mystery boxes as a way to get rid of stock that they've been otherwise unable to sell. While you can never guarantee what you're going to get, these boxes are usually cheaper than ones bought elsewhere.

eBay

Many retailers use eBay to sell their stock, with options on the auction site including unclaimed luggage or parcel returns, all put together in a mystery box. It's not like a normal 'auction' though - there will usually be a buy it now price so it's just like any other internet transaction.

Online retailers

As the popularity of mystery boxes increases, other retailers have started selling them in the hope that they will be a hit among customers. Have a look on sites such as Amazon, Etsy and Wowcher, and you'll often find the mystery boxes are listed by genre too.

Google

If there's a particular niche mystery box you're looking for, it's always worth searching for it. There are so many websites out there selling mystery boxes, you'll undoubtedly find what you're after.

As with buying anything online, make sure you are purchasing from a trusted retailer and a secure website.
