I catfished my own boyfriend – I had a ‘crazy rush’ after revealing it was actually me, he tried to play the victim
CATFISHING hit a bit too close for one man scouring Tinder for dates.
He was tricked by his own girlfriend — and then played the woe-is-me card on her.
Redditor recounted the story in a post full of twists and turns with the man she had been looking at engagement rings with.
She'd recently found out her boyfriend had cheated on her, but after he begged for her forgiveness, she took him back.
Then, just two weeks later, her friend found him on Tinder, clearly still open to infidelity.
"So I made a fake Tinder, named 'Anne,'" she said. "Anne found him, swiped right, [and] we matched immediately."
HANDLING IT WELL
The Redditor said that very early in the conversation, her boyfriend sent explicit pictures of himself to "Anne."
He asked her to meet him that evening for sex at the chain restaurant Buffalo Wild Wings.
Setting him up for a dramatic reveal, she walked into the establishment, sat down, and came clean about "Anne."
Her boyfriend, stunned, had been sitting there with three drinks — because he was hoping to get a threesome with "Anne" and her friend.

"He looks so shocked," she said.
TIME TO GO
Though her relationship was over, she found herself happier than she thought she'd be.
"At one point he actually tried to tell me that he knew it was me catfishing him," she said.
"No, he did not. He is trying to play the victim and claimed that he knew I was doing all this to him.
"I actually feel really good about myself right now and I have a crazy rush feeling."
He contacted her the next day.
"He just messaged me and said, 'Are you still mad about last night?' Not responding," she added.
THE VERDICT
The post drew in many Redditors who gave their two cents on the issue.
"Reading this was satisfactory as hell," one wrote. "Sorry you had to deal with a piece of s**t like him, though. Hugs."
