Ava Phillipe is the daughter of actor Ryan Phillipe and actress Reese Witherspoon.

In April, she was unveiled as a Global Brand Ambassador and face of Vince Camuto's Wonderbloom fragrance.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Reese was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has passed down Southern notions to her children.

The mother-daughter duo have a close bond, and Ava values her mom's opinion.

This is especially true when it comes to her beauty routine.

For the pair, it isn't just surface level and there are other ways to be seen as a beautiful person.

"A big saying in the South, especially amongst women is, 'Pretty is as pretty does,'" Ava shared with .

Having a good heart and good core values matters more than you think.

"You're only as beautiful as you treat other people," the brand ambassador said.

She doesn't enjoy when people are critical of others online for their appearance.

"I find that beauty is really subjective, but what's not is being kind and being open and treating people with respect," she said.

"I think that you glow from within when you're a good person."

MOMMY MAKEOVER

Although Ava sees kindness as the ultimate makeup, her film producer mother does have a few go-to staple items.

Reese shared her favorite beauty buy in a 2019 interview when she was Elizabeth Arden's "Storyteller-in-Chief."

She doesn't mind standing out and the limited-edition Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in the shade Pink Punch was a great choice for her.

“I love bright-colored lipstick. I feel like it’s the perfect accessory, and I always have one in my purse,” she said.

SKINCARE ESSENTIALS

Two years later, Reese signed a five-year global brand partnership with Biossance.

Taking care of her skin is essential and she spilled on her day and nighttime routine in a 2021 feature.

“Skincare has been a huge part of my life for 30 years, being on camera so much and making sure that I have a good base for makeup,” she said.

Reese said her "number one thing" is the Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream, $60, because it is what she uses the most in every part of her regimen.

Every morning, she said she washes her face and then puts on the repair cream followed by the Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, $74.

To protect her skin from potential sun damage and UV rays, she added that she finishes with the Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30, $32.

She explained that it's "thick enough that you know you're getting the right kind of coverage" but "light enough that it doesn't feel like you're wearing a white zinc mask.

She said she takes off all her makeup with the Squalane + Elderberry Jelly Cleanser, $29, and then applies the Squalane + 10% Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum, $65, and the repair cream again.

The actress added that she also uses 100% Sugarcane Squalane Oil, $34, after every shower because it's "deeply moisturizing."

As she got older, she admitted that she didn't know how much lip balm she used in her life, and has the Squalane + Rose Vegan Lip Balm, $12, in her car, near her bed, in her purse, and on set.
