"In 2021, I decided to try dating apps for the first time and met someone I thought was a good match for me," Jenna opened up about the incident.

"He claimed he worked for the FBI the whole time we dated.''

Six months in, her Romeo suddenly announced he was relocating for Washington D.C. for what he claimed was ''FBI training''.

Although at first the two love birds gave a long-distance relationship a shot, they eventually split and went their separate ways.

''Six months later, he called me describing a covert mission and informed me I wouldn't be able to reach him on his current number anymore."

She admitted: "Something felt wrong, so I started investigating.

''That's when I understood that my emotions had utterly blinded me."

The brunette beauty conveyed her suspicions to a pal who was working in the US intelligence sector.

But according to the friend - who desperately searched for the boyfriend's profile in their database - there was no trace or record of him as an FBI agent.

Three years later, the young woman was invited to appear on the Dating Detectives podcast where the host, a private investigator, told her she could provide some closure.

Confessions of a cheating wife

A few weeks later, Jenna recalled, she received an email from the investigator who was informing her about a discovery.

"My mind was going a mile a minute. We had arranged a call in 30 minutes to discuss it all, and I was beside myself."

When Jenna picked up her phone, her suspicious were finally confirmed - her ex-partner was ''not in the FBI''.

"In fact, he had never even been through FBI training. There was absolutely nothing in his background connected to the FBI whatsoever."

Looking back on the time they spent together, Jenna admitted that she overlooked and ignored many red flags and warning sings.

"He wasn't a con artist in the traditional sense," she said.

"He didn't take money from me or need a place to stay. He had his own apartment and paid for things. It seems he lied just for the thrill of it.

"He was always super secretive, yet I clearly remember seeing an FBI resume and cover letter on his desktop, almost as if he wanted me to see it.

''He had no social media or friends I could meet. He claimed all his friends were away on deployments with the military."

She added: "He rarely shared any details about his job. The PI from The Dating Detectives told me he had zero job history besides being in the military, which was before he met me."

Four red flags your partner is cheating

Private Investigator Aaron Bond from BondRees revealed four warning signs your partner might be cheating

They start to take their phone everywhere with them

In close relationships, it's normal to know each other's passwords and use each other's phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something.

says "If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful."

"You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use.  If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something."

They start telling you less about their day

When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you.

"If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don't want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag."

"Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be tough, remembering all of your lies is impossible and it's an easy way to get caught out," says Aaron.

Their libido changes

Your partner's libido can change for a range of reasons so it may not be a sure sign of cheating but it can be a red flag according to Aaron.

Aaron says "Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating.  You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren't there before."

They become negative towards you

Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify.

"To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere.  Maybe you haven't walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime.  A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating," warns Aaron.

However, the bizarre story doesn't end there - through her now-viral TikTok videos, Jenna has been able to connect with other woman who'd also fallen for his lies.

"One girl found me after I shared my TikTok and said she had been living in DC at the time he told me he was supposed to be in training," she said.

"She went on two Hinge dates with him there. He told her he was working for the FBI, not just in training, but actually working undercover there. So, he was still spinning the same lie.''

Later, the amateur sleuth went on, she found another woman from Florida after her friends sent her Jenna's podcast and '' it sounded awfully a lot like the guy she was currently dating''.

''Turns out it was him!''

Despite Jenna sharing her story, the woman continued to date the conman.

'It shows how manipulative he can be," she said.
