My hair is so healthy, shiny and long after I ditched expensive shampoo & conditioner – my 95p secret to it looking good
EVERYWHERE you look, someone is trying to sell you the next miracle product for hair, and it often comes with a hefty price tag.
However, one woman claims her hair has “never been healthier” after ditching pricey products for a bargain 95p option instead.
Taking to her account, she said: “When you ditch the expensive shampoos and conditioners and go back to using the cheap £1 ones instead.”
In the clip, she showed off her glossy black locks, which looked shiny and smooth.
Thankfully she didn’t gatekeep the shampoo and conditioner she had been using to achieve the results.
She shared how she swears by Alberto Balsam, which you can get from Tesco for just 95p.

It is silicon-free and comes in a number of scents, from Green Apple to Raspberry.
The product description reads: “Alberto Balsam Juicy Green Apple Hair Shampoo is super fruity and will leave your hair feeling fresh and healthy looking.
“It uses most of the same ingredients you'll find in more expensive brands, but at a great price which means you can afford to look glamorous every day.
“The improved formulation contains strengthening pro-vitamin B5 and is suitable for all the hair types in your family.”
Her video has racked up over 8,000 likes, and many people were impressed.
One said: “Stop it now right because I used Alberto balsam on my hair the other month because I had none of my usual expensive ones and it made my hair soooo clean&soft!
“My usual makes my hair feel greasy!”
Another added: “I’ve always used the cheap Alberto Balsam shampoo and conditioner & my hair is so healthy, used a more expensive one as a treat to myself & my hair is DRYYYYY.”
And a third wrote: “I’ve found my people in these comments . Alberto balsam till I die.”
However, a hairdresser chimed in with her views, saying: “As a hairdresser I’ve come to the comment section to cry.”
She recommended that the best ones for hair are “sulfate free”.
We recently shared how a hairdresser revealed the common hair myths she constantly hears.

Fabulous' Beauty Editor Tara Leddon shared what really makes hair grow
AS a beauty editor, one of the questions I'm asked most often is whether hair growth supplements really work. But, unfortunately, there's not a simple answer.
Generally, they only work if you are deficient in a vitamin or mineral that they can replace. However, I know enough people who have had serious success with Hair Gain Hair Grown Capsules that it's definitely worth giving them a go if you want to kick-start your journey to long, healthy hair.
Whether you choose to take a supplement or not, growing long hair requires lots of patience.
It's not something you'll notice overnight, but when you take proper care of your hair and use the right products, it does become healthier.
If you're only going to add one product to your regime, it's a heat protector that'll make the most difference, rather than expensive shampoos and conditioners, as heat styling is the number one cause of hair damage.
If you protect and nourish your hair, it's less likely to break off when it reaches a certain length, so you'll be able to grow it longer than you ever imagined.
She said: “Firstly - hair growth shampoos.
“There is no shampoo that is directly going to make your hair grow.
“What they do, however, is make a good environment for hair growth.
“Maybe they will strengthen new hair coming through or not wear your hair down, making it easier to add volume when you style it.
“Number two - split end treatments.

“They do not work. They do not get rid of your split ends.
“What they do is seal the split end for a short period of time, making your hair appear healthier, but the only way to get rid of split ends is cutting your hair.”
