I’m a cheapskate hairdresser & never bin a strand of hair – I stuff cushions with it & use FARM products on customers
A CHEAPSKATE hairdresser has revealed some of the extreme lengths she goes to to save cash.
She shared that she doesn't throw away a single strand of customer's hair and instead uses it to stuff cushions and to fertilise her plants.
Pelin Mathis started working in her dad's salon when she went to university.
Before she started, her dad used to throw away all of the hair he cut off people's heads, but Pelin soon found that she could use it to save cash.
Speaking to TLC's , she said: "I have long hair, short hair, straight hair, curly hair, kinky hair.
"It doesn't matter, I collect it, because hair has a lot of uses."

Pelin said that the hair makes a great free fertiliser for her plants.
She also stuffs longer strands into her cushions, which she said makes them more comfortable.
Pelin's dad said: "The customers may think that Pelin is really cheap - and she is.
"But she saves me and the shop a lot of money".
Pelin, from Georgia, USA, is cheap in every aspect of her life and after she got into an accident, fixed her car together with hair bobbles and tape.
"It didn't cost me anything", she beamed.
She even scrimps out on her customers and revealed that she gives bridal parties that come into her salon products from a farm.
Horse shampoo is a cheaper alternative to human shampoo and she revealed that cat litter contains the same ingredients as an expensive face mask.
Not only this, Pelin also uses a balm created to prevent cows' udders from getting sore as a lip balm and a foot scrub.
She manages to get these products for 10 times cheaper than their beauty supply counterparts and said they work exactly the same.
