THE hot weather has sent most Brits into a spiral, but one woman has revealed a clever way to get around the heat.
Grace, from the UK, shared the savvy way she was dealing with the mini heatwave and people can't believe they hadn't given it a go yet.
Taking to social media, the savvy woman showed how she made her own pool in the garden.
She wrote: "I dug my own pool to get through this mini heatwave.
"It cost me £20."
Grace revealed the heat had made her get creative and clearly wanted something a little fancier than a paddling pool.
Instead of forking out for one she decided to dig up a hole in the corner of her garden.
Once a sufficient hole was dug, Grace lined it with what looked like blue tarpaulin which is waterproof and can be bought for .
Once it was lined she filled it up with water and viola - she had her own private pool to stay cool in the summer heat.
She used a wooden bath mat to get in and out of the pool easily and bricks to keep the tarpaulin in place.
Probably feeling very smug over her clever idea - Grace filmed herself splashing about and relaxing in her pool.
What makes it even better is that her DIY job was cheaper than buying a ready-made large paddling pool.
Why Bright Swimsuits Can Save Your Kids' Lives The clip posted to her TikTok account @soon went viral with over 805k views and 100k likes.
People were quick to take to the comments in awe of her clever idea and wanted to try it for themselves.
One person wrote: "This is actually genius..."
Another commented: "This is the best thing I've seen on TikTok. I need this ASAP."
Keep bugs out of your pool this summer
One of the easiest ways to keep bugs out of your pool is to cover it with a dark sheet (like bin bags) when it's not in use.
This can also help keep the water warm for kids as well.
Bug traps around the pool can also be useful.
To naturally stop bugs from coming around you can plant such as lavender, basil or mint as they hate the smell.
"That is absolutely sick I need to build myself one of these," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "Nice one, love it."
"Looks mint and I genuinely wish I’d of done same,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Genius! It looks amazing."
