A BLACK woman has revealed the secret to her enviable hair growth after being repeatedly told she’d never have long locks.
She raved about the products and a pricey tool that keeps her tresses healthy even when chemically straightening her hair.
She shared a photo of her lengthy locks on Reddit’s Long Hair forum, which has over 499,000 members.

The beauty enthusiast said her hair growth defied a common assumption about afro hair.
“Finally at my goal length after a lifetime of being told that ‘black girls can’t grow long hair,’” she said, writing under the handle .
She revealed that heat tools and chemical treatments have remained part of her routine while growing her locks.
“I relax my hair once every 4 months and wash/use Olaplex/straighten with heat protectant every 2 weeks,” she said.
“I contribute having access to Olaplex 1&2 + my Dyson blow dryer to the majority of my hair growth.
“It was only an inch or so past my shoulders a year ago and hadn’t grown in years until I just stopped with my complicated routine and just handled it every two weeks!”
