Newlyweds serve 100 portions of fish & chips at their wedding after caterers cancelled at the last minute
A COUPLE whose wedding caterers cancelled at the last minute saved the day — by ordering 110 portions of fish and chips.
Immie Teed, 30 and Josh Titmouth, 40, rang a chippy when the supplier pulled out 24 hours before their big day.
The couple were in tears wondering how to feed their guests but chip shop Krispies came through.
Receptionist Immie, from Exmouth, Devon, said: “Just as we were arriving into our venue, the caterer cancelled.
“Josh, who knows him quite well, said, ‘If this is a joke, it’s not funny.’
"But he’d been feeling ill — and found out that morning he’d got E.coli.

"My mum had the idea to call Krispies — she said, ‘Call Krispies, right now’.
"We love their food, we know they’re reliable.”
The chippy, owned by Kelly Barnes, delivered the meals.
The order included cod and chips, chicken nuggets for the children’s table and veggie burgers.
Kelly said: “The bride was beside herself as she would have been obviously.
"It was just a pleasure to be able to help out. How could we not?
‘‘Our team were amazing and some stayed on after their shift to help.”
