Rosemary oil, peppermint, oil, lavender oil, and cedarwood oil are among those that may encourage growth.
Goboardi said these oils should be diluted with a carrier oil such as coconut or jojoba oil before use.
Another haircare tip that doesn’t cost money is protecting tresses from UV rays because they can cause dryness and brittleness.
“Wear a hat or use hair products containing UV protection when spending time in the sun,” she said.

WASH DAY WONDERS
Gaboardi said “mild” haircare products should be used to prevent damage to cuticles.
“Choose shampoos that are gentle and sulfate-free to avoid stripping the hair and scalp of natural oils,” she said.
If you do use heat styling tools, use them on a low or medium heat setting and apply a heat protectant spray beforehand.

“Look for shampoos specifically formulated for hair loss or thinning hair, and avoid overwashing your hair, as it can lead to dryness and breakage.”
CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT
Gaboardi recommended limiting the use of heat-styling tools such as blow dryers, curling irons, and flat irons.
She said “excessive” heat can damage the hair shaft and contribute to hair loss.
“If you do use heat styling tools, use them on a low or medium heat setting and apply a heat protectant spray beforehand,” she said.
SERUM SAVIOURS
She also recommended using serums formulated for your specific type of hair loss.
UKLASH has a hair shampoo, conditioner, and serum that promotes growth.
“Their new Hair Growth Serum has been two years in formulation with biologists and hair experts and has proven to reduce hair loss by 85%,” she said.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Gaboardi said a balanced diet rich in vitamins, minerals, and protein is essential for hair health and growth.
She recommended eating fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and healthy fats.
“Certain hair growth supplements like UKLASH! OMG Hair Gummies which contain ingredients such as biotin, vitamin D, iron, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids, may help support hair health and growth,” she said.
“Consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplements to determine if they're appropriate for you.”
She said it’s also important to drink at least 8 glasses of water daily to keep your body and hair hydrated.
