The four fail safe hashtags which helped me make a fortune flogging my mum’s old clothes on Vinted
A VINTED whizz has revealed the four fail safe hashtags that she uses to flog her mum’s old clothes.
The second-hand app has become a go-to spot for Brits looking to make a bit of extra cash amid the cost of living crisis.
But if you’re serious about making dough quick, just uploading an item and closing the app won’t do the trick.
In fact, coveted sellers have been deciphering the best ways to attract more buyers over the last year.

“Making money on Vinted by selling my mum’s old clothes with #Y2K, #rare, #90s, #vintage in the caption so the girlies will buy it,” she penned over a video of herself.
The hashtags are all buzzwords in fashion trends right now.
#Y2K & #90s
Y2K is a current buzz term in fashion thanks to the revival of late Nineties and Noughties fashion.
Broken down, it means Year 2000.

Think Juicy Couture tracksuits, bootcut jeans and low-rise midi skirts paired with floaty camisoles.
To make some extra cash from your (or your mum’s) wardrobe using this hashtag, you need to pull out items that nobody else will have listed.
Bespoke, one-of-a-kind or limited edition pieces will be winners for this hashtag.
#VINTAGE
In the same vein as #Y2K and #90s, second-hand shoppers love a vintage bargain.
As such, Vinted is a vintage fashion heaven, where bygone trends are given a second chance for a fraction of their original price.
