Redditor posted about the handywork on the social media platform.

"Weekend backyard makeover," they said.

They included photos of the drastic change, which they did themselves.

"Picture on the left is 10 am Saturday morning, picture on the right is 6 pm Sunday evening," they said.

"My brother and I did it all ourselves.

"It's not perfect and there's still a lot more to do, but I'm so proud of the progress."

CROWD REACTION

Fellow Redditors expressed their approval of the new look in the comments section, but the DIYer said they'd make some changes.

"If I was doing it again, I would use a higher edging — we used a six-inch, but it would be better if it stuck up a little higher above the ground to contain the gravel better," the original poster said.

"Then I lined the outside of the circle with a pretty wood edging I found at Menard's — this was super simple, they just go in on metal stakes."

"That's an amazing amount of work in a short time and it looks beautiful, excellent work, ready for Easter weekend," one Redditor wrote.

"You should be proud," another added. "It looks great."

"You should be. That's a tremendous amount of work," a third commented.

"I bet you've done a lot of work before the physicality began as well.

My gardening technique can save you lots of time weeding – adding a sweet mulch reduces how much you need to water, too

"It's a great plan for a small space, I'm excited to see an update."

"I really enjoy posts like this. You did a great job. Looks like it took a fair amount of work and is something you should really be proud of," another wrote.

"Is that concrete on the left side? Did you end up digging it up?

";I disagree with the person that said you have too much grass.

"Grass can really add a lot to a garden and is especially good if you have pets, but it's fairly high maintenance."

"Yes, the left side had very broken, uneven concrete," the original poster replied.

"We pulled it up by using a crowbar and sledgehammer.

"Luckily (I guess) I don't think it was installed very well, so it was pretty easy to take out."

The DIYer said they plan to add fruit trees to bring the space together.

They said there's just one addition missing to the spruced up space — a fruit tree
