‘OMG it’s delicious’ shoppers go wild for Aldi’s new ‘boozy ice cream in a bottle’ that’s only £7.49
IT might not be wall-to-wall sunshine just yet, but we have a new favourite tipple for when the sun does come out.
For those that weren’t already aware, Aldi has released a new flavour of their cult Ballycastle drink and it is perfect for summer.
The German supermarket’s drink is said to be nearly identical to Baileys and shoppers can’t seem to get enough of the alcoholic dupe.
In fact, Aldi regularly release seasonally theme flavours, which even included an version that tasted exactly like Cadbury Creme Egg for Easter.
More recently, the retailor released a Piña Colada-inspired bevvy - which flew off shelves as shoppers get ready for holiday season.
However, a new flavour has appeared on shelves and it has an indulgent ice-cream inspired taste. (Yes, really)

Ballycastle is now available in a limited edition Madagascan Vanilla flavour which will be ideal for when the warmer weather arrives.
Sharing the news on Facebook, Aldi wrote: “Ice cream just got boozy…Your fave creamy tipple has had an indulgent makeover with our new Madagascan Vanilla flavour!”
Needless to say, customers are already getting into the spirit of things as the post has already gone viral with over 6,900 likes.
In the comments, shoppers even begged Aldi to stop making new flavours as they couldn’t help but pick up a bottle.

One superfan wrote: “They just need to stop, I've got no more room in my stash corner of shame… you know I'm buying this tomorrow.”
Another then joked: “How am I supposed to lose weight when you keep giving me these beauties.”
“Wow need to try this on my shopping list now,” raved a third, with a fourth adding: "‘I just had a glass and OMG it’s delicious."
Others also raved about the Irish Cream, saying that they loved the entire range and couldn’t wait to try the new tipple.
“These are extremely good value, the whole range...I'd say the best tasting supermarket cream liqueur,” said a fifth.
Some even begged for other limited edition flavours to return, with another saying: “Bring back the raspberry ripple one! That one is lush.”
To which, a fan argued: “What about Salted caramel!!!”
Sadly, these limited edition Ballycastle flavours will often disappear from shelves quickly – so it is best to stock up while you can.
With the new vanilla flavour costing just £7.49 per bottle, we reckon the tipple will sell out almost as soon as it hits shelves.
As with all middle aisle and limited edition buys from Aldi, they aren’t available online.
This means you will have to visit your local supermarket to avoid missing out.
If you weren’t already tempted to grab it as part of your weekly shop, the supermarket also has an Aperol dupe too.
