A WOMAN in her twenties has revealed that she has bought a mansion in the south of France for less than the cost of a one bed flat in London.

, the average cost of a one bed flat in London in 2023 was £239,000, which is extremely pricey for a small apartment, but a great price for an entire mansion.

From the outside, the 18th century manor looks very run down, with boarded up windows and overgrown grass, however, there are remnants of what was obviously a very grand building.

Inside, the manor is in a similar state with broken stairs and collapsed ceilings.

However, the grand chandelier, stained glass windows and antique furniture show that the property will look stunning again with a bit of TLC.

The first time buyer revealed that although she is very happy with her purchase, it has come with a catch.

Or, a lot of catches.

She said their are collapsing ceilings, unfit for purpose roofs, rotten beams, black mould and outdated electrics and plumbing.

As well as this, she lives in the property alongside some unwelcome visitors, including, rats, snakes and pigeons.
