According to , the average cost of a one bed flat in London in 2023 was £239,000, which is extremely pricey for a small apartment, but a great price for an entire mansion.

From the outside, the 18th century manor looks very run down, with boarded up windows and overgrown grass, however, there are remnants of what was obviously a very grand building.

Inside, the manor is in a similar state with broken stairs and collapsed ceilings.

However, the grand chandelier, stained glass windows and antique furniture show that the property will look stunning again with a bit of TLC.

The first time buyer revealed that although she is very happy with her purchase, it has come with a catch.

Or, a lot of catches.

She said their are collapsing ceilings, unfit for purpose roofs, rotten beams, black mould and outdated electrics and plumbing.

As well as this, she lives in the property alongside some unwelcome visitors, including, rats, snakes and pigeons.

She said: "When I'm not having a breakdown and thinking what on earth I'm doing, I'm actually pretty in love with the place".

The house used to a be a hunting lodge for a Marquis and still has lots of character, such as a giant grandfather clock and a beautiful engraved wooden fire place.
