A WAITRESS has admitted she was left stunned after testing out the "hair theory" to see which style earned her the most tips.

Allison had heard that various hairstyles are more successful with customers than others, so thought she'd give it a try herself - and documented the results in a on her TikTok page.

She began her experiment on Thursday, with braided pigtails.

As she headed home after her shift, she revealed that the 'do had earned her £151.19 ($191.30) in tips.

Next up was the bubble ponytail, which she tried out on the Friday, and that style got her £127.16 ($160.90).

Allison went for a braided ponytail - with the ponytail sitting quite high on her head - on Saturday, which was the most successful style of the night.

On Saturday, she managed to rake in an impressive £174.04 ($220.21).

But Sunday was more unsuccessful, as she went with a low ponytail and only managed to get £64.09 ($81.10).

"Trying the server hairstyle theory to see which makes me the most tips!" Allison captioned her video.
