AN ANTI-ageing expert has revealed the frozen food she swears by to shave years off your face.
Star Khechara - pioneer of the “Facelift Diet” - can often be seen urging people to consume more fruit as she believes it is “the number one food" to make you look years younger.
But the 48-year-old also swears by an 80p frozen item to banish wrinkles, reduce inflammation and even out skin tone.
We all know that collagen is vital for keeping our complexion looking its best.
But as we age, our skin produces less collagen and begins to lose its firmness and elasticity.
Fortunately, you can munch on frozen green peas to stimulate collagen production, Star claims.

Yes, you read that right.
Frozen peas might just be the secret to ageing your face backwards - and you can pick up a bag for 80p in your local Sainsbury’s.
“Peas boast a unique blend of phytochemicals, including genistein and daidzein, which have been shown to slow collagen loss and combat skin ageing,” Star explains.
“As oestrogen levels decline during this stage, peas offer a natural solution to bolster collagen production, preserving skin firmness and resilience for a youthful complexion.

“Harnessing the power of chlorophyll, peas enhance skin elasticity and diminish facial wrinkles.
“This natural anti-ageing agent, coupled with peas' nutrient-rich composition, contributes to a youthful, luminous complexion.”
What’s more, peas can also clarify your complexion for further beauty benefits.

What is Collagen?
- Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body and provides strength and structure to the skin and muscles
- It plays a significant role in maintaining skin elasticity and hydration
- As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to wrinkles, sagging skin and decreased skin firmness
- Collagen production starts to dwindle in our mid-to-late 20s and early 30s. By 40, it has dropped dramatically
It's important to note that while collagen-based skincare products may offer benefits, their effectiveness can hugely vary.
Some experts suggest that topical application of collagen may have limited effectiveness compared to other skincare ingredients that stimulate collagen production within the skin.
“Laden with vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, peas nurture healthy skin cells,” Star says.
“Their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties combat skin disorders, unveiling a clearer, radiant complexion.”
Star believes that consuming the right foods can give you a facelift WITHOUT going under the knife.
