Sharing an image of what her doorway had previously looked like to the official Facebook page, Gemma revealed that the front of her house had been painted a plain, dark red.

Determined to jazz up the area, she used Sandtex paint, in Plymouth Grey, to paint the outside walls.

Then, the DIY whizz purchased a patterned stencil from Amazon, which you can pick up for around £10.

She placed the stencil on her doorstep, and using, acrylic black paint, she painted an intricate, floral pattern.

To seal the paint, she then used Ronseal indoor/outdoor sealer.

"If you're thinking about stencilling, do it", she said.

To liven up the area even more, Gemma placed a heart shaped wreath on the door, and placed an adorable dog shaped planter on the doorstep.

She also placed two potted trees on either side of the doorway, to give the space an elegant feel.

Gemma's DIY transformation has likely left many impressed, as her post has amassed over 3000 likes and hundreds of comments.
