‘This is not a drill’ shoppers scream as Lidl relaunch Aperol dupe for the bank holiday weekend & it’s £10 cheaper

AS summer has almost arrived, most of us are looking forward to spending more time outdoors and maybe a cheeky Aperol too.  

Before you race to the shops though, Lidl is bringing back its delicious dupe and it is on offer right now.  

If you missed out on the Lidl cocktail last year, you are in luck as it has just been restocked on shelves.

The is the perfect summertime tipple, as it has rich flavours of orange and bitter herbs – just like the more expensive version.

You can even make a classic fruity spritz with it, simply by add a dash of soda, orange slices and ice before topping it with prosecco.

Alternatively, you could make thirst-quenching treat by pouring this iconic cocktail over crushed ice to create a ‘Fraperol’.

While it might not be your usual drink, this tipple went viral on TikTok with over 400,000 people watching the viral video and the hype around the aperitif is only growing.

Aperitif aficionados have been raving about Lidl’s Bitterol and sharing their excitement about the drink returning.

One even admitted: “I waited half an hour for [staff to] unpack the crate with the first Bitterol spritzes of the szn.”

“Spotted. This is NOT a drill. Bitterol spotted back on shelves @LidlUK,” another added.

If you still weren’t sold, the alcoholic beverage is currently on sale too.

From May 2 to 8, Lidl Plus members can get this tipple for just £5.49 (Yes, you read that right).

Even if you aren't a memeber, you can still find Britterol for just £6.49 - saving you £10 at the checkout.

Considering that Aperol is usually around £17 per bottle, this is the absolute steal of the summer and we doubt that bottles will remain on shelves for long.
