She said: "I'll give some unsolicited advice about how to sell stuff on Vinted.

"Cause even though yes, I think these videos have been driving most of my traffic, I was actually a Depop top seller back in the day.

"I made it into the top 100."

Before getting into Bekah's top tips there was one 'hack' she had seen online she strongly avoided wasting your time on.

It's more about making sure that people find the stuff on the actual app

People have been told to share their Vinted username on social media in the hopes it will drive people to their page, but Bekah said it was a waste of time and was willing to bet her life savings on it.

"Highly doubt if someone doesn't know what you're selling they're gonna bother to type your name in Vinted even if you say you're doing good deals," she explained.

"It's more about making sure that people find the stuff on the actual app."

Instead, the fashion fan recommended adding as much detail into the title of the item and description box to make sure it keeps coming up in the search engine.

She added: "It's all about search engine optimisation.

"The captions don't need to make sense, you just need as many buzzwords which relate to the item as possible."

Whatever the item, use as many descriptive words as possible to make sure people can find it when they search those key words in the Vinted app.

Bekah also recommended taking pictures both while wearing the item as well as what it looks like hanging so people can see the material.

Since posting the video, Bekah has sold hundreds of items and made a pretty £700.

The video soon went viral over on her TikTok account @with 107k views and 7k likes.

People were quick to thank Bekah for her tips on how to resell on the site.

One person wrote: "Great advise I also put lots of measurements."

Another commented: "How have you sold so much I’m actually struggling at this point."

"I’m so invested in this series," penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "You are a machine I can’t get into the head space to get stuff listed! Proper struggle, how do you do it?"

Someone else added: "It’s like a reward when you see something cute on Vinted and in the photo they’re actually wearing it too, so you can see what it’s like on."

Do you need to pay tax on items sold on Vinted?

QUICK facts on tax from the team at Vinted...

  • The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it.
  • Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017.
