What do S Club 7 look like now?

In pop terms, S Club 7 were the perfect package.

Seven goodlooking members, successful TV shows that aired in 100 countries, a spin-off S Club Juniors group, four number one singles, a number one album, a movie, a host of merchandise and an army of fans.

The band catapulted into the public eye in 1998, and enjoyed five years of worldwide fame before splitting in 2003. So what are they doing now?

Paul Cattermole has been forced to flog his Brit award to pay his bills, after a back injury made it impossible for him to find work.

But he's now planning a music comeback, and told NME he hopes to record a covers album.

Rachel Stevens

Rachel Stevens has had the biggest solo success post S Club.

The mum-of-two went on to release seven Top 40 singles and two solo albums.

She's also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor New Zealand, The Voice of Ireland, Celebrity MasterChef and has been named FHM's 'sexiest woman of all time' in 2014.

Hannah Spearritt

After the demise of the band, Hannah Spearritt went into acting.

She's had guest roles in Agatha Christie's Marple, Death In Paradise, Casualty and EastEnders.

Hannah also played Abby Maitland in Primeval from 2007-2011.

She recently revealed the trauma she went through after getting a breast enlargement in 2013, but was forced to have them removed four years later due to health complications.

The 37-year-old appeared on This Morning on April 16 for a chat with presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Jon Lee

Jon was the band's youngest member - and he's carved out a successful career in musical theatre.

Some of his best known West End productions include Les Misérables and Jersey Boys - as well as a string of pantos.

He also voiced Max in Disney's cartoon series Famous 5: On The Case in 2008.

The former popstar made a surprise appearance on TV dating show Dinner Date in March 2018.

Jon went on a blind date with three potential suitors on the ITVBE programme, before choosing one to take on a date.

Who's still in S Club 3?

Now 19 years since they first blasted onto the charts with Bring It All Back, S Club 7 has been whittled down to just S Club ... THREE.

The trio has had a few different names, previously going by S Club Party and now rebranding as SC3.

Jo, Bradley and Tina have been working as a trio since 2015 without bandmates Rachel, Hannah, Paul and Jon.

“There’s three of us this time around, it’s fine,” Bradley previously told .

“Some of the others are doing different things at the moment. It will be nice for the three of us to come out and have a bit of fun with it.”

Bradley McIntosh

As well as touring nightclubs, uni events and Butlins holiday camps with SC3, Bradley McIntosh has written and produced songs under the nickname City Boy Soul - for the likes of JLS and Mutya Buena.

He fought Jack Osbourne in a Comic Relief boxing match in 2006, and also appeared in MTV's Totally Boyband, joining the group Upper Street.

The band members were all former members from other groups - Dane Bowers of Another Level, Jimmy Constable of 911 and Danny Wood of New Kids on the Block.

They split up soon after the disappointing chart result of their first single, The One.

Bradley recently became a father, welcoming his first child in May 2017.

Tina Barrett

When S Club first split, Tina Barrett said she wanted to pursue a solo career - but her three singles received little fanfare.

Instead, the mum-of-one kept a low profile until SC3 was formed - with the exception of a Rod Stewart cover with Natasha Bedingfield and Atomic Kitten's Liz McClarnon in 2004.

Jo O'Meara

Jo O'Meara had the band's strongest vocals, and was expected to go onto a glittering solo career.

Instead, her singles flopped, and Jo became caught up in a racism and bullying scandal - alongside Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd - after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in January 2007.

In November 2008, she was rushed to hospital with a head wound after a man threw a bottle at her during a club performance in Bradford, alongside Bradley and Paul.

It was thought that the attack was motivated by her CBB appearance, and the treatment of Indian actress Shilpa Shetty.

Jo filed for bankruptcy in 2014.

What's the S Club 7 story?

S Club 7 was the brainchild of entrepreneur and manager Simon Fuller, who'd just been fired by the Spice Girls when he formed the band.

He formed the group with an advert in The Stage - the same paper that made Victoria Beckham a household name.

Each member of S Club 7 had their own responsibility and strength within the group.

Some members — Jon, Hannah and Paul - were brought in as actors for the TV series, Miami 7.

Rachel and Tina became all rounders, singing, dancing and acting, while according to band member Bradley McIntosh, lead vocalist Jo O’Meara “had the strongest lead vocals for a lot of the ballad songs.”

“Those years were beautiful, amazing, we got to do things like perform for the Queen,” Bradley told .

“Life was very fast paced. You never knew where you were going to be from one day to another. I was 16, fresh out of school, the world was my oyster.

“We didn’t get much sleep but we were quite a grounded band. There were no divas. Everyone was really friendly and well mannered.”

In 2014, all seven members reunited for British charity Children in Need.

It was the first time they had performed together since their ironically-titled S Club United tour in 2003.

During that tour they announced the band would split — two weeks after they were forced to deny the same rumours — and just months after Paul left the group.

His departure would cause a catalyst of change that no one could escape.

Scandal followed the trip, after reports surfaced the band had received just £600,000 despite their four years of work that generated more than £50 million in profit.

Hannah’s parents reportedly to chase lost earnings, but according to Bradley, the band “carried on what we were doing”.

Bradley explained it was Tina who initiated contact with the rest of the S Club crew and 'talked about the old times', including the possibility of a comeback.

“Everyone was free and available and were up for doing a reunion tour. The fans were calling for it, they wanted us to do something.

“We said, ‘you know what? All the other bands out there are doing it, we may as well get in there and do one as well’.”
