A HOMEOWNER has jumped to the defence of her "ugly" buy after doing a huge haul in Primark.

Megan Welsh bought her first home in Glasgow last year and has spent months transforming it into a colourful haven.

The 25-year-old said her interiors vibe is all about "fun and colour".

"There's not really a colour scheme, it's kind of multicoloured as you would imagine", she added.

Her flat has even been compared to Balamory thanks to its colourful and bold decor.

And she's always on the hunt for quirky new accessories to add to the overall look.

So when she popped into Primark over the weekend for travel bottles to go on holiday, she couldn't resist a look around the homeware department.

Around £90 later, she'd picked up two huge bags of new pieces including a duvet set, two cushions, storage boxes and candles.

She also bagged five colourful hanging planters for her garden for just £1 each.

But a vase she picked up for indoors proved more divisive.

Primark bosses say the colourful £6 urn "adds a Moroccan flair to your space" - and Megan was immediately sold.

Describing it on their website, the bargain store added: "Full of life and colour, this urn-style vase would be an excellent way to lighten, brighten or enhance your space.

"Coming in a traditional Greek urn style with a round base, fluted top and handles, it is decorated with blue and black stripes alongside an orange block colour.

"The overall effect is a combination of boho and maximalist styles that will look wonderful in related schemes or when used to bring colour and focus to more neutral spaces."

But it turns out Megan's fellow shoppers were not as impressed by the orange, blue and white piece.

She said: "I got this vase. I actually had just put it in my basket and the two girls next to me were having a conversation between themselves.

"They were like ‘that looks like something for Halloween, it’s really ugly’."

Awkwardly tucking her hair behind her ear, Megan then added: "Ok, I like it."

The dark-haired beauty rounded off her haul at the bargain store with underwear, socks and Hannah Montana pyjamas.

She said: "All for under £100. I think in this day and age that’s really good going. Major slay."

Influencer Megan returned to TV screens earlier this year as reality show The Agency: Unfiltered's second season aired on BBC Scotland.

The new series once again followed , Scotland's largest influencer agency, its founders Kirsten Cameron and Amy Moore, and their clients.
