AS a wedding is meant to be one of the biggest days of our lives, it is no wonder that most women are willing to spend a small fortune on them.
One bride-to-be had a more budget friendly approach to her big day though, after being quoted over £4k for wedding decor.
With the average wedding now costing a staggering £20,775, most of us are wanting to save on any part we can.
Though some brides might make their own cake or wear a pre-loved wedding dress, influencer had a rather alternative way to save on her big day.
Like many brides-to-be, the TikTok star had agonised over finding the perfect dress, venue and decor while remaining within budget.
Having crossed off the majority items on her list, the content creator then approached a vendor about flowers and dreamed of her centrepieces.
Though she’d hope to walk away with orchids, she instead left with a staggering quote for $4,000 (£2089.0).
Determined to save her money, the thrift influencer decided to create the decor herself for just $100 (£52). (Yes, you read that right).
Even more impressively, she was able to order all the items she needed direct to her door.
While Shein and Ali Express might not be obvious place for wedding inspo, the bride-to-be kept seeing fake flowers on the discount sites.

It was then that the Aussie influencer ordered an assortment of flowers, with her later arranging the fake hyacinths, orchids, lilies into beautiful designs.
She even used a small foam block to help her get the perfect look, ensuring that it wasn’t on view to her guests.
It was hard not to be impressed, with the handmade white and cream bouquets giving major 'quite luxury vibes' in her viral videos.
Despite being initially quoted an eye-watering, the influence spent just $60 (£31) in total on her wedding décor.
She even joked in the caption: "This is your sign to do DIY some of your wedding florals yourself and save that money for your honeymoon."
Unsurprisingly, the video has gone viral with others wanting to recreate the hack for their own weddings.
One fan even revealed that she'd gone through a similar experience while planning her big day, writing: "My quote for 6 bouquets and 6 boutonnières was $450….. I think I’ll do them myself.”
Another revealed that they'd also tried the DIY for themselves: "Yes! I did my bud vase for tables and it was so fun! Spent $30 compared to $60 a table from a florist."
Some even suggest that the TikTok star had thought of changing careers after seeing her video online.

“No queen this is YOUR sign to be a florist,” gushed a third.
Well, we can't argue with that.
Top Wedding Trends of 2024
Sophie Creed, bridal designer and founder of bridal brand e&w Couture has shared this year's wedding trends.
Personal, personal, personal
Brides are leaning towards modern minimalism with lots of personal touches that show off their relationship as a couple for an overall wedding theme.
Sustainability is also a huge wedding trend, with brides opting for more locally sourced and in-season florals and food.
Sailing into the sunset
There's a rise in bold sunset colours like pinks, corals, reds and yellows when it comes to colour schemes. Big bold bouquets and tonal bridesmaids are coming in to focus.
Fun-shoes and statement scrunchies
A fun shoe is always top of the list for brides this year, followed closely this year by a matching hair accessory to their dress such as a large statement bow or scrunchies.
Pockets are in!
Modern, flattering silhouettes with bold fabric choices are 2024's wedding dress trend.
Brides also love a fuller skirt (with pockets), interesting back details and sophisticated plunging necklines.
Sleeves have been huge for us this season but nothing too fitted, instead opting for romantic billowing sleeves.
