WE all dream about seeing more of the world, but would you be brave enough to renovate a rundown caravan to do this?

When dreamt of life on the open road, she could have never imagined that her perfect motor would be a vintage caravan from 1989.

Nicknamed ‘Joyce’, the Van Royce camper was in bad condition when the content creator first spotted it on Facebook Marketplace.

In fact, the seller was so concerned about the damp inside that she drastically reduced the £1500 asking price to just £500.

Eager to stick to a tight budget, the TikTok star set a limit of £500 for the refurbishment and took on the majority of the work herself.

Having rolled up her sleeves, she set to work removing the tired cushions and the faded wallpaper – which was even applied in the bathroom.

It was then that she discovered the damp lurking beneath the seats, just as the original owner had warned her.

However, Hayley was undeterred and bought caravan sealant to weatherproof her new camper van on the inside and out.

She then sourced £5 timber from a local merchant yard and £20 flooring from Facebook Marketplace to replace the existing one.

With the travel guru eager to get the work completed in a month, the influencer added decorative items like stick on tiles – many of which she ordered on Temu.

She picked up door handles for as little as £1.28 each for her kitchen cabinets as well as chic wooden LED light fixtures for £10.98.

Even her tap came from the discount app, with Hayley proudly comparing the £26.28 buy to the small original tap.

She joked in a now viral video: “I thought it would be great if we are off grid [or] not plugged into the electrics.”

Her tiny home looked virtually unrecognisable after the thrifty domestic goddess repainted the cabinets in a small kitchen.

With the renovation almost complete, she then trawled stores like Matalan for the perfect items to furnish to space and stick to her budget.

As space was also limited, Hayley had to get creative picking up small glass jars for a fiver and wicker baskets for £7 – to give the space a cosy, vintage vibe.

She even picked up an adorable sign, with a caravan that looked almost identical to Joyce from The Range – which cost her just £2.99.
