A WOMAN has revealed that she lives in a council house and has given the bathroom a mega makeover, whilst on a budget.

So if the cost-of-living crisis has meant that your purse feels tighter than ever before, then you’ll need to check this out.

DIY enthusiast Caz StrachanFolan explained that she used bargain buys from a variety of different high-street shops, and ordered cheap items online from Etsy and Temu, to give her bathroom the ultimate maximalist vibe.

Thrilled with her bathroom’s overhaul, single mum Caz, who lives in Stonehaven, took to social media to show others, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting on , a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Caz shared snaps of her bathroom and penned: “Love my new bathroom.

“[It’s] council so I can't change the shower or wet wall.”

Caz then opened up to Fabulous about her bathroom’s unique look, as she shared that she bought her stunning mirrored cabinet from Argos and her toilet seat and under sink cupboard from Wayfair.

She explained that she kitted out the space with Ikea buys, including fake plants, plant pots and a picture frame.

Not only this, but she also ordered a number of items from Amazon, including her towel rail, toilet roll holder and shower shelves.

To jazz up the space, Caz also bought her funky tropical-themed wallpaper from Amazon.

To go with the wallpaper, this savvy mum bought her animal print hand towels from Zara and her leopard pot from Etsy. 

As well as this, she bought her beautiful black vase from B&Q, her shampoo and conditioner bottles from Temu and her quote pictures from Etsy.

To finish off the room, Caz nabbed a soap dispenser from The Range and a room spray  and a scent diffuser from Sainsbury's.

We think Caz’s bathroom looks fabulous and not only is it super bright and colourful, but it’s incredibly chic and trendy too.
