The new series, which airs on Channel 4, follows the home interiors fanatic help people who have encountered bad builders.

Whether it's bricklaying or basic plumbing, Stacey will be getting stuck into the projects herself too, as she will share the tips she picked up while renovating her £1.2million home, Pickle Cottage.

On tonight's episode, the former X Factor star travelled to Enfield in London to help a couple, Caroline and Erick, who'd spent an eye-watering £70k to renovate and extend their double-bedroom bungalow.

But despite the hefty sum, there were soon alarm bells ringing, when they noticed things hadn't been done properly - and the final straw was when the pros had used bags of screen for the underfloor heating that weren't fit for the job.

After spending an additional £10k on top of their original budget, Caroline and Erick were shocked when a surveyor came back with a long 57-page report ''of everything that's wrong''.

''Now, we have to start ripping walls down again, all of the electrics had to be redone,'' Caroline said, noting they were quoted another £65k to fix the disaster.

Hearing the heartbreaking story, which had left Caroline sobbing, Stacey couldn't wait to help the duo fulfill their ''dream''.

''This is definitely going to be one of the biggest, toughest projects that we've seen,'' the DIY super fan told her fans.

But as well as tackling the couple's property - which took several months - Stacey was also working on her family's lovely Pickle Cottage based in Essex.

The home, which the star bought with her hubby Joe Swash in 2022, also comes with a massive garage in the garden - and Stacey had some big plans for it.

''I want to build my first-ever stud wall in the garage to separate my home gym from my husband's fishing gear.

''Every time I work out, I have to look at that mess - so I've had enough!''

Unfortunately for the mum-of-five, husband Joe didn't seem to be too pleased with the news, as he reckoned he'd be left with barely any space in the shed.

''Joe keeps calling me Donald Trump and saying that I'm just going around building walls,'' the TV star chuckled.

''But once I know how to do this, trust me - I'm going to split our bedroom in half.

''I'm going to have my own bit of toilet - there will be stud walls everywhere!''

Back In London, the home makeover was also making progress, which included a stunning colour blocking wall in the couple's bedroom, as well as a chic bathroom, which they'd installed themselves, saving a fortune.

The final result - which boasted Japanese and Scandinavian design - left Caroline and Erick emotional, as they couldn't believe the difference - and that their dream home was finally ready to be lived in.

''You get me every single time,'' Caroline cried, as Stacey was praising the London-based duo.

''I wouldn't want to go through it again - but it was worth it.

''I am so excited to move in,'' she said, with Erick adding he'd fallen in love with their brand new bungalow.
