One appliance pro shares her cleaning commandments for averting drying disasters as well as the most common mistakes to avoid.
"Routine cleans monthly - or after every 30 wash cycles - are necessary to help keep it in good condition," she continued.
Removing dirt, soap scum, or other debris that accumulates over time will ensure your machine is doing the best washing it possibly can.
And that means cleaner clothes.

When it comes to keeping towels softer, she recommends "using white distilled vinegar or baking soda as an alternative to fabric softeners."
"Fabric softener can sometimes leave a residue or impact the absorbency of towels," she added.
