One savvy shopper was left open-mouthed when browsing the shelves in her local Aldi, in Newmarket, Suffolk, when she spotted two different flavours of Mega Puffs.

Natalie also added: “99p a packet (these are share bags) not multipacks.”

Natalie was lucky enough to get her hands on the large bags of Mega Puffs in two different flavours - fiery hot and wickedly cheesy.

So whether you're a fan of cheese-flavoured crisps or you prefer something more spicy, there's something for you.

The 130g share bags of corn puffs are suitable for vegetarians and are baked, not fried.

They are similar in appearance to Wotsits - so if you’re a fan of melt in the middle crisps, then you’ll need to give these a try.

Food fans were beaming at the sighting of Mega Puffs on shelves and many took to the comments to express this.

When's the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items - when shops open

Red sticker items are rare at Aldi's 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found - if you're quick.

A spokesman for the supermarket said: "All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates."

That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.

Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store's times by using the supermarket's

For Specialbuys - Thursdays and Sundays

Specialbuys are Aldi's weekly collection of items that it doesn't normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store's opening time.

You don't have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.

They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and .

As long as you spend at least £25, you'll get the items delivered for free.

Remember: once they're gone, they're gone, so if there's something you really want, visit as early as possible

Another added: “About time they came back.”

Whilst a third commented: “I love the salt and vinegar ones and the beef.”

DRINK IT UP

But this isn’t the only Aldi buy that we’ve seen shoppers go wild for recently.

As well as this, we previously saw bargain hunters rave about a new passion fruit martini cocktail that has landed on shelves.

Posting on the chain’s official Instagram account, under the username @, the supermarket shared a snap of their new passion fruit martini cocktail.

The chain penned: “JUST LANDED. Say hello to our new Passion Fruit Martini.

“Best served chilled with a squeeze of lime, this cocktail mix is an essential item in your next big shop!”

The Infusionist buy also comes in a Piña Colada flavour too - both of which are ready-to-pour cocktails, saving shoppers 21% per bottle compared to Funkin Cocktails.
