Taking to Mumsnet, the mum asked: "Could you forgive this?

"The were both drunk, he says it wasn't a full on snog but definitely a lingering kiss.

"More how you kiss your wife than your sister in law.

"He instigated it but was the one to come clean to me pretty much straight away and is very apologetic."

The woman said that her husband doesn't see it as cheating as they didn't have sex, and only kissed.

She added that she never thought that he would do something like this to her.

"I Trusted him completely", she said.

"His loyalty to me is usually his top priority."

The mum added that her husband told her that the kiss "just happened" during a heart to heart discussion, and he "doesn't know what he was thinking".

She said that her sister had initially lied and told her own husband that it was just a kiss on the cheek.

The mum revealed that she has tried to contact her sister, but has been ignored, and revealed that her sibling "has form for behaving inappropriately towards men despite being in a 7 year committed relationship."

The post has caused outrage online and many Mumsnet users flooded the replies section with their thoughts.

One person said: "This is so gross and no matter how he tried to rationalise it, if he can do that with your sister of all people I dread to think what else he is truly capable of.

"Call me cynical but I’d actually be worried about his prompt admission being his way of getting ahead of the narrative considering the other women is your sister."

"I’d be done with both of them. It’s a huge betrayal. I’d be furious my sister hadn’t immediately come and told me.

"But your husband instigated it so I would be done."

A third person said: "Why is it not cheating. He’s being unreasonable.

"Your sister being the recipient is especially scummy."

A fourth person chimed in: "This is dreadful. Have nothing more to do with your sister. I would not allow her in my house again.
