Primark’s £4.50 body shimmer oil is perfect for summer… and it’s a dupe for a £97 Tom Ford product

WE can always rely on Primark’s beauty dupes to give us luxury concepts for less.
And its latest “golden goddesses” body oil is no different, given it’s a Tom Ford dupe that’s over £90 cheaper than the real deal.

The PS... Pro Body Shimmer Oil will set you back just £4.50 for 100ml, compared to the Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil at £97.
That means, for the same amount of product, the copycat oil is a whopping £92.50 cheaper.
A smaller bottle of Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil with 45ml of product is still 90% more expensive than Primark’s dupe at £45.

“The lightweight oil is formulated with flecks of luminous particles that once massaged into the skin offer a subtle golden radiance.

The fashion giant’s social media team took to Instagram to give a glimpse of the new product at the beach.
They urged shoppers to “glow your way into the weekend” with the oil.

According to Tom Ford bosses, the luxury oil “captures the sultry effect of sun-kissed summer skin”.
“It tempts the senses with a fragrance of scorching sensuality,” they said.
“This silky and lightweight oil illuminates the skin with shimmers of gold and platinum leaf.
“The captivating fragrance wraps a bouquet of white florals in a golden, amber-sandalwood embrace as tempting as a white sand beach.”
They added that the oil is “as irresistible as the perfect tan”.
Shimmer body oils provide a subtle yet noticeable glow to the skin.
This effect can make the skin appear healthier, more radiant and can even help to camouflage imperfections like scars or blemishes.
Many shimmer body oils contain moisturising ingredients, such as oils and vitamins, which can help to hydrate the skin and improve its overall texture and appearance.

How should you apply a shimmer body oil?
Body shimmer oils can be used in various ways.
They can be applied to the entire body for an all-over glow, or they can be strategically applied to specific areas such as the collarbones, shoulders and legs to highlight certain high-points.
Before applying one, make sure your skin is clean and dry.
It's best to apply it after showering when your skin is still slightly damp, as this helps the oil to absorb better and provides better hydration results.
Many versions contain glistening particles that settle, so you’ll need to shake the bottle well to ensure that the shimmer is evenly distributed throughout the oil.
Depending on the packaging, either dispense a small amount of oil into your palm or directly onto the areas of your body where you want to apply it.
