I’m addicted to having kids… admits mum-of-22 Sue Radford as she predicts she could have 70 grandkids
PARENTS-OF-22 Sue and Noel Radford have revealed that they are ‘addicted’ to having kids.
In Sue and Noel Radford’s book, The Radfords: Making Life Count, which is a number one best-seller on Amazon, the couple discussed their ‘healthy’ addiction’.
But not only this, in the book, which took the second spot on the Sunday Times bestseller list, we saw the parents discuss their predictions for how many grandchildren they will have in the future.
The couple wrote: “We haven't just been addicted to love during our long and happy marriage - for most of it, we have also been addicted to having children.
“As addictions go, we think it was a pretty healthy one because it was motivated by nothing other than love - love for each other, and the love of having children.
“We are Britain's biggest family, and proud of it. This wasn't the plan, however. Indeed, looking at the size of our brood, you might think there was absolutely no family planning involved whatsoever!

“How we actually came to have 22 kids - rather than the three we had originally been thinking about - is all explained in the following pages, along with so much else.”
When it comes to the possibility of baby number 23, Sue shared: “No, I don't think so - though we have said similar things before! But no, that's it now.”
To this, Noel chimed in: “We've said similar things plenty of times before! But seriously, Heidie is three now, so yes... we're enjoying our sleep at last!
“And we no longer have to worry about kids being at that age when they pick things up off the floor and stick them in their mouths.”
But although the couple don’t have plans for any more children of their own, Sue and Noel, who currently have 10 grandchildren and star in their show 22 Kids & Counting, spoke about their expanding family.
Sue shared: “People might say there's no longer any need for the 'and counting' in the title of the TV programme, because me and Noel won't be having any more kids.
“But we will hopefully be counting grandchildren for many more years.”
Noel then said: “We definitely always wanted grandkids - and hoped to have them. It was always in the back of our minds.”

Following this, Sue shared that it’s been ‘really nice’ that her grandchildren have been able to grow up with some of the couple’s younger kids.
She beamed: “It's been really nice because it means our grandkids have grown up with some of our children as well.
"They're really good friends, as well as being related to one another. That's just a lovely thing.”
Sue and Noel shared their predictions for their future number of grandchildren - with the couple both thinking 70 sprogs could be on the cards.
I think it could be around 40 grandchildren, personally. Though it could end up being many more - maybe 60 or 70, perhaps.

Noel claimed: “We currently have 10 grandchildren - at the time of writing!
"People have asked us how many we think we might end up having - and that's before they go on to mention great grandchildren and even, possibly, great, great and, who knows, great, great, great grandchildren!
“Sue and I have obviously chatted about it, but it's all so unknowable.
"It would all be complete guesswork, because you just don't know how your kids' lives will pan out - which ones will want kids and which won't.
We have also been addicted to having children

“Some who you think might not have kids might go on to have a few - and vice versa.
"But yes, you do talk about it - and I think it could be around 40 grandchildren, personally.
"Though it could end up being many more - maybe 60 or 70, perhaps.”

Sue then chimed in: “Yes, we have thought about it - and grandchildren-wise, I think those numbers sound about right.
“But although it could be 40, or 60, or 70 - or maybe even more - you really just don't know.
“Some of the kids might not want them, some might only want one or two - it's hard to do anything more than guess, really.”
Noel then opened up about his daughter Millie Radford, who is now a proud mum-of-three, as he claimed: “Millie said she wouldn't be having any - and she recently had her third!
