WITH Easter only a few weeks away, Aldi are preparing for a very special visitor.

It’s not the Easter Bunny that will be arriving in the German supermarket though but everyone’s favourite mascot: Kevin the Carrot.

Whilst he usually appears on shelves around Christmas time, the adorable vegetable is back in stores for a limited time only.

To celebrate the arrival of Spring, Aldi have released two seasonal themed cuddly toys featuring their iconic mascot.

Rather than donning a Santa hat or a football shirt, the cartoon character is instead wearing a sweet bunny costume – complete with floppy ears and a sprouting carrot top.

Alternatively, you can pick up Kevin dress as a little lamb with the boucle style cuddly toy bound to light up your kids’ faces.

If they get bored over the Easter break, you can even play dress up as the product description says that both outfits are removable.

Continuing, it read:  “Is that Kevin in disguise? Add this fun seasonal plush toy to your ever-growing collection to the nation's favourite carrot.

“This is an adorable and fun soft toy that you'll love having around.”

Whether you are buying them for your family or giving them as a gift, these soft toys are a great buy at just £3.99.

Sadly, some shoppers are already reporting that the cuddly toy is being re-sold for an eye-watering price – despite them only hitting shelves this morning (March 14th).

Writing on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, one super fan revealed that they’d arrived at 8am just so they could collect the iconic character.

Sharing a photo in the Facebook group, they wrote: “Thanks to whoever it was that let us know that they’re in shops today. I went at 8am when it opened and I got some … You may need to work fast as I’m sure they will sell out!”

Continuing, they added: “They are bigger than I expected too!!! (and there’s people advertising on eBay to sell them for £40.”

Others had also had a similarly early start but had struggled to find the children’s toys in their local Aldi.

I tested all the supermarket shepherd’s pies from Aldi to Waitrose and the winner was both the cheapest and the biggest

“I went to my local Aldi at 8.20 and all sold out .... apparently to just a couple of people,” another complained.

Meanwhile, a third said:  “Was a bit late getting to mine, just about got them….not many left.”

Some shoppers even stated that their branch had never received the soft toys, leading to a desperate search for the iconic character.

“I've got family all over trying to get me one of these,” admitted one mum, joking: “It's for my daughter I promise.”

If you do miss out on the Easter themed mascot don’t despair though, as Aldi have a new range of of seasonal soft toys in the middle aisle to choose from.
