Yes, that's right, money-saving Facebook users have been sent into a frenzy after a major supermarket started to get rid of Mother's Day stock.

After selling incredible fresh flowers for an eye-watering £15 per bouquet, the retailer dropped the price to just a penny, saving bargain lovers a fortune.

One delighted customer, Jo Alice, from Glasgow, Scotland, took to the popular after spotting the incredible deal.

Informing fellow members of the page - which is home to more than 2.4million Facebook users -, Jo wrote in : ''£15 Mother’s Day bouquets reduced to 1p!

''I got three,'' the lucky shopper said, showing off the gorgeous set of fresh roses in a baby pink paper.

The 1p deal also included other just as Fabulous bouquets, including a Rainbow set with sunflowers, Thanks Mum bouquet which is perfect for those who love white blooms.

As shared by Jo, the incredible deal also applied to a more burgundy set of flowers, as well as a stunning pastel-toned set.

Needless to say, fellow bargain lovers went totally wild over this offer, which you can find in your Sainsbury's.

Close to 900 people gave the post a like, as hundreds raced to comments to tag their friends and family.

How to make your fresh flowers last for longer

There are also a few easy hacks that will ensure your stunning bouquet stays fresh for longer, and one of them involves using a common cleaning product.

According to savvy TikTok fans, the answer is simple - just a little dash of regular household bleach; a totally bonkers trick that is also all the rage in the florist community, with  saying it's a ''good'' idea to add one-quarter teaspoon of bleach to one litre of water in your vase.

The reason is pretty simple - bacteria.

''Bacteria will start to grow in the water, turning it cloudy, smelly, and shortening the lifespan of the cut flowers you just obtained. 

''What bleach actually does to bacteria is it causes them to unfold and stick to each other.

''After they stick to each other they stop being able to function, and then they die.''

The best way to keep your lovely flowers lasting for as long as possible is to change the water every few days, the gurus noted.

Simply empty the vase, fill it with fresh water, add a bit of bleach, optional sugar (which acts as food for the blooms), cut up to an inch off the stems and then place the flowers back into the vase.
