The blonde beauty told about her beauty regime, and shared the product that she swears by, to tame her ‘crazy’ hair

The TV presenter and actress explained that she doesn’t scrimp when it comes to her locks, as she revealed: “I would always spend money on my hair. You can spend £400 on a pair of shoes that you wear once in a blue moon, but you wear your hair every day.

“At home, I try not to wash it too often because I don’t think that does it any good (well, not my hair anyway).

“When I do wash it, I need products that are super-duper because my hair is really thick and big and crazy!

“I’m a Kérastase girl and I love its Nutritive Bain Satin Riche shampoo, from £24.75, and Nutritive Masquintense Riche hair mask, £43.”

Cat also shared the Dyson rival brush - that’s £332 cheaper - that she uses to tame her locks, as she continued: “I’ll give my hair a dry while using the BondiBoost Blowout Brush Pro, £67.99 – although it’s never quite as good as a proper blow-dry – and then I tend to use the T3 SinglePass Curl curling iron, £150, to give my hair a bit of movement.”

The hairdryer and style in one features three heat settings and and 360 degree airflow vents on the oval-shaped brush to help you get ready in less time.

With a dual-bristle design and ionic technology, the device aims to detangle and smooth your lengths down, banishing the dreaded flyaways whilst keeping your hair healthy and voluminous.

So if the thought of spending £399.99 on the Dyson Airwrap Origin Multi-Styler sends shivers down your spine, then you'll be thrilled to know that Cat's BondiBoost alternative will save you a staggering £332.

And it's not just Cat who loves this tool either, as it's got a star rating of 4.84 on Lookfantastic.

Who is Cat Deeley

One beauty fan said: "I used to own an Airwrap but sold it due to not using it often enough, I brought this to replace the brush from the Airwrap and have to say it's amazing.

"Gives a salon blow-dry every time, I use my normal hair dryer first then finish with this."

Another added: "I’ve got thick long hair - a nightmare to blow-dry. From first go, a total game changer.

"My hair is dried in no time. Really impressed."

Whilst a third stated: "LOVE this hot brush! The size is so extra (in the best way) it creates big bouncy volume but captures a lot of hair so actually is fast to do too!

"Used with a root lifting spray for lasting bouncy volume! Would recommend!!"

'I know what actually suits me now'

Not only this, but Cat also shared how growing up, appearances were only really discussed in her home as a ‘source of humour’.

She added: “My nose bends a little in one direction, and my dad would joke around and say, ‘Put your nose straight. I’m not talking to you until you put your nose straight.’ It was never a big thing; we didn’t take it very seriously.

“At the same time, there was a belief in our family that if you feel good on the outside, you tend to feel good on the inside, too; you’ll always feel better if you’ve put yourself together a bit.”

Cat opened up on her attitude to her appearance now, as she explained: “My attitude to my appearance is to make the best of what I have.

“I’m at a point in my life where I know what works for me; I know what looks good.

Getting older is, after all, a complete privilege

“Sometimes it’s incredibly boring and I just want to change my hair or change my style, but I know what actually suits me now.”

Not only this, but when it comes to growing older, Cat shared: “We’re moving on from the notion of anti-ageing.

“Getting older is, after all, a complete privilege – the fact that you’re here and enjoying life – gaining experiences while being happy and healthy. Wow. That, to me, is amazing.”
