FROM a llama drama to a dopey dog, Beth Lee-Crowther – the star of Channel 5’s Pet Psychic – today helps Sun on Sunday readers with their pet problems.

Beth, 54, who uses her mystical skills to communicate directly with the animals, says: “It’s real. I’ve done hundreds of readings and been proven right time and again.”

Max the llama

STUBBORN Max has been refusing to take part in his usual activities at the Pembrokeshire Llama Sanctuary in Wales.

The four-year-old, who has more than 20million followers on social media, used to enjoy taking visitors on treks.

Owner Matt Yorke, 43, said: “Max used to be one of my best llama trekkers.

“Now he doesn’t want to go. Has he got too big-headed?”

Beth had a simple explanation – Matt’s llama thinks the treks are “boring”.

She said: “He thinks he’s moved on to other things now.

"It feels a bit like a chore, so he’s thinking somebody else can do it.

"Max is the Robbie Williams of the llama world. He says he’s a natural show-off.”

Matt said of the reading: “It all made perfect sense to me.”

Coco the shih tzu

COY Coco, seven, is very nervous, especially at meal times.

Owner Teresa Morley, 69, from Reigate, Surrey, says her pet is “absolutely terrified of our air fryer”.

During the virtual reading, Beth argued her “noise-sensitive” pooch needs a new, calming approach.

She told Teresa: “Food is a big thing in your house. She says that when you got your air fryer there was a lot of excitement about it.

"The noise she associated with excitement then turned to stress.”

Beth advised trying soothing white noise and putting treats for Coco in the air fryer, to help create a new positive association.

Teresa said: “I’m very open-minded about what Beth said – and I do cook a lot!”

LITTLE Chilli barks a lot and has recently started making a strange “gurgling” noise.

The 12-year-old’s owner, Yasmin El-Saie, 45, a yoga teacher from Shepherd’s Bush, West London, said: “I’ve taken him to the vet and they don’t know what’s causing it.”

Beth helped to calm Yasmin’s fears, telling her: “He says he makes that noise when he feels quite content and happy with things.

"It’s not a sign of distress – he says it’s him showing his appreciation and gratitude.”

She also told Yasmin to let him take the lead more. “He’s very protective of you,” she added.

Chilli also told Beth he wants his owner to look out for a person called Mark or Martin.

Yasmin admitted: “Beth is not the first person to talk about how protective he is of me.”

THE three-year-old Western hognose snake likes to crawl around the top of his cage and his owner is concerned about his unusual behaviour.

Owner Natalie Kyriacou, 54, a receptionist and mum of three from Hemel Hempstead, Herts, said: “I’m worried he’s unhappy and want to know if we’re feeding him enough.”

Beth confirms Natalie is looking after him “marvellously” but Thor has just one wish.

Beth said: “I asked if there’s anything he needs.

He says, ‘I’d like some hot rocks’, even though he’s obviously cold-blooded.”

Thor tells Beth that Natalie may be asked to take him on an educational visit in the future.

Natalie said: “I was thinking of taking him to the care home I work in but I’m not sure people would want that!

"It’s nice to know he’s happy.”

THERAPY horse Tom is used to raising the spirits of others – but recently he’s had a long face.

His owner, Holly Lockwood, 38, who runs The Peaceful Pony Therapy Centre in Benfleet, Essex, said: “Tom is quite poorly and none of the vets really know what’s wrong. I’m worried we will lose him.”

Beth agrees the seven-year-old may be in pain.

She said: “He’s showing me a lot of stomach acid.

"He’s also got discomfort in his back legs. Have a good chiropractor really look at his neck and back, particularly where the back hollows out and goes up to the rump.”

Tom also tells Beth he is open to trying reiki – a Japanese healing therapy – and that he misses his old horse pal, Charlie.

Holly said: “My friend’s a reiki healer, I’ll definitely get her over.”

JUMPY rescue cat Miso’s owner Andrew McKenzie wrote in wanting to know if there was anything he can do to calm her nerves.

Finance expert Andrew, 65, from Glasgow, said: “We got her last April and we’d like to ensure she’s comfortable and to know more about her history.”

During the reading Miso tells Beth that she has “settled very nicely” but had to fend for herself for a long time so is shy around visitors.

Miso also tells Beth she would like her food to be warmer.

Beth revealed: “She ran away from a home before and was a stray.

"She’s used to killing her prey and eating it warm so, for her, cold food from the fridge is unpleasant.”

Miso also told Beth she has an injury to her shoulder and back.

Overjoyed owner Andrew said: “What Beth says totally resonates.”
