I’m a disabled veteran and my bridezilla friend hid my cane at her wedding – too bad for her, I have a vindictive streak
BRIDES have been known to go over the top with their demands but one woman got the perfect revenge.
The bridesmaid showed her vindictive streak after her bridezilla friend refused to let her use a walking stick on her big day.
In the , a Reddit user shared the drastic measure she had to take against her friend.
"I am a disabled veteran, and at the time this happened, I was solely depending on a walking stick, I could not walk more than 10 feet maximum without assistance," the unnamed woman explained.
After agreeing to be a bridesmaid, she said her friend "quickly proved herself to be a bridezilla from hell, and everything had to meet her vision."
In the week leading up to the wedding, another bridesmaid revealed that she had overheard the bride planning to hide the walking stick before the ceremony.
"There was no doubt in my mind that she was going to try to have my walking stick go missing, so I made arrangements," she said.
"Sure enough they have the wedding rolls around and, while getting hair and makeup [done], my walking stick disappears.
The bride insisted she had looked everywhere and couldn't find it and told her friend she'd have to "make do."
"Her exact words were 'You'll just have to do what you can do to get up the aisle,'" the bridesmaid recalled.

Taking the bride's suggestion to heart, the original poster decided to practice some "malicious compliance."
"I texted my boyfriend [and] he went out to the car and brought in a mobility scooter that I had rented just in case I needed it," she said.
While the bridal party waited to make their way down the aisle, the bridesmaid noted that her friend was too distracted to notice her scooter.
"She started to walk up the aisle and there were her three bridesmaids, two standing tall and me sitting on the most hideous-looking multicolored sparkled mobility scooter I could find," she said.
The military vet recalled the death stares the bride gave her throughout the ceremony before miraculously finding the walking stick afterward.
"I am very proud to say that the scooter is in over 90% of her wedding photos," she added.
She joked that she has "a streak of petty vindictiveness as wide as the Mississippi."
"I bent over backward to be accommodating and all she could do was make snide comments," the bridesmaid explained.
Reddit users shared their thoughts on the situation in the comments section.
"Maybe Bridezilla wanted to replace the stick up her a** with your walking stick!" wrote one reader.
