FINDING the perfect pair of jeans is no mean fear, given there are countless silhouettes, cuts and washes on the market.
And that’s all before we even start thinking about budgets, hues and cotton content.

The M&S Collection Harper Cigarette Smart Jeans cost just £39.50 and come in two hues of black and ‘indigo mix’ .
They’re available in three lengths, too: petite, regular and long.
The size range is 6 to 20 on the petite and long lengths, but 6 to 22 on the regular length jeans.

“Bring a tailored touch to your casual outfit with these crease-front jeans,” M&S bosses said.
“Fabric has a rinsed wash for a cleaner and smarter feel and cigarette fit with rolled ankle-grazer hems for a contemporary effect.
“A button and zip fastening at the high waist offers a secure feel, while added stretch gives extra comfort.”
Fashion fans have left rave reviews on the jeans, with many hailing how great they are for different body shapes.

“These are perfect for pear shaped ladies,” one buyer said.
“The material is stretchy and not suffocating at all.”
“The term cigarette threw me,” another shopper explained.
“I thought they would be tight, more like skinny jeans, which I definitely did not want.
“I was also concerned, as I am a woman in my Sixties, that these would be too young in appearance.
“I couldn’t have been more mistaken - they are lovely, flattering and modern, just what I was hoping for.
“The fit is not tight but still streamlined and neat looking, not at all slouchy, and they will look great with ballet flats which are my shoe of choice for spring and summer.
“I bought both colours.”
