WE’VE seen it all on the red carpet. From slabs of beef to draped swans and bare behinds, for years celebrities and their glam squads have created weird and wonderful looks for five minutes of standing on scarlet felt.
Needless to say, it would take a lot to surprise us.
But actress Zendaya did just that this week when she brought Star Wars’ droid C-3PO to life, complete with peek-a-boo bum cheeks.
London hosted the world premiere of Dune: Part Two on Thursday, starring Hollywood’s finest Timothee Chalamet, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler but the 27-year-old stole the limelight in a cyborg suit of armour.
Designed by Thierry Mugler in 1995, the spacey spectacle featured clear panels that flashed her chest, arms, legs and backside, the out-of-this-world look is a nod to her character in the film, Chani, a warrior from another planet.

Zendaya is known to dress to reflect her characters, wearing looks inspired by roles in Spider-Man, drama Euphoria and even Space Jam.

At the many premieres of Dune: Part One, she wore dazzling looks — the most notable being her Balmain dress in Venice, made from leather and to blend with her skin tone.
For the Met Gala in 2019, she dressed to the “Camp: Notes On Fashion” theme as Cinderella complete with light up gown, and has also made statements in a hot-pink breast plate, chainmail and dressed as a giant butterfly.
The secret to Zendaya’s fashion icon status is her career-long stylist, Law Roach.
