VALENTINE’S Day is tomorrow and if you are looking to pick up a last-minute bunch of flowers you may need to beware.
A wedding expert has revealed the flowers that are “so ugly” and “gross” that no woman wants to receive them on February 14 - or ever - but it’s sparked a debate.
Nikki Cartin, who works as a wedding content creator, uploaded a video touring around her local supermarket to reveal flowers that make her “scream” as they are so bad.
On her account, she gave her views on the best and worst bunches to buy.
Nikki wrote: “Valentine’s Day is coming up, these are the flowers NOT TO BUY because no one likes them, I promise.
“You don’t need to spend a fortune, go to your local supermarkets.

“When I see men in the supermarket picking up those ugly ass colourful flowers I SCREAM!
She showed off a pink, purple and white bunch, and said “no so ugly”, and an orange, yellow and green bouquet was hailed as “ugly”.
Nikki also hailed some of the cheap bunches as “gross”.
However, some flowers did make the cut.

She said: “Tulips and lilies always, buy the tulips always I promise.”
Roses also were a hit with Nikki, and she suggested you could buy a couple of the supermarket bunches to make a larger, impressive display.
Over 6,000 people have liked her video, but it has split opinion in the comments.
One person wrote: “Normalise just being happy that he went and chose you some flowers because he loves you.”
Another said: “Can we normalise that we're not all the same. I'd rather have the ones you hated to tulips and lilies.”
Meanwhile, a third commented: “Lillies are the flower of death so no thanks.”
And a fourth offered up: “I want anything but red roses.”

However, others said her list was “100% accurate”, with one woman saying: “Red roses only.”

What if I'm unhappy with my flowers?
Consumer group Which? advises you to take the following steps in order to grab a refund:
- Take a picture as evidence of poor condition or damage to your flowers to support your complaint.
- If a loved one or friend has sent you flowers that have arrived in a poor condition or late, tell them. Otherwise, the retailer may say they can’t access the order information and won’t resolve the problem.
Alternatively, the Tesco Finest Sweet Desire Bouquet is £20, the flowers come in a range of rainbow colours.
Aldi is also keeping prices low this year with its Valentine's Day flower deals as its prices start from £2.29.
Prices start from just £2.49 for a single red rose or £4.49 for a dozen red roses.
This is the cheapest deal we could find for a dozen red roses.
