My 55-year-old dad got my 22-year-old friend pregnant – she’s a ‘lazy gold digger,’ I know she’s after him for his money

A WOMAN has told how she feels betrayed by her "gold digger" friend who secretly started dating her dad behind her back.
Joni introduced pal Gina, 22, to her 55-year-old dad David at a New Year's eve party - but was horrified to later find out they were dating and were expecting their first child together.

Joni says that Gina used to be one of her besties and that they were inseparable, from spending birthday trips out of town to girls’ nights out, often ending in Gina crashing at Joni’s house.
"Before Gina started dating my dad we were close friends - we literally did everything together," she told the hit , Dr Phil.
"We went to bars, she came to my house, I would go to her house, we went to family events.
"Gina and I would even take trips together. We went on a holiday for my birthday."

However, Joni says all that changed when Gina began dating Joni’s father, David, behind her back, later giving birth to her dad’s child.
"As soon as she walked in the door, she definitely saw dollar signs," Joni claims, recalling the moment the pair were first introduced at the house party.
"She asked for a tour, kept complimenting his house saying how nice it was, and she just kept going on about it.
Five months later, Joni found out through someone else that they were dating.

"My heart just sank to my stomach. I was like, 'Are you kidding me?'" she recalls.
"Gina is the laziest money-hungry person I've ever met.
"Gina got into this relationship to build herself a better life.

However, Gina has a rather different vision of events and explains how she recently finished cosmetology school and works in a salon making her own money.
She claims Joni exaggerated how close their friendship was to make a better story when in reality they were really just "drinking buddies".
"It's not true that she was my only friend," she said.
"I wasn't a desperate single mother seeking a sugar daddy. That's not true. It's 100% false."
But Joni is fed up of the loved-up couple always posting photos of themselves on holiday - travelling to everywhere from Miami, New York and Mexico, to the Versace Mansion.
Speaking to Joni, Dr Phil asks: "So what is your real objection? Is your objection that this is a friend that betrayed you? Is your objection that your dad is getting played and exploited?"
She replies: "It's all of it."
However, Gina insists "everyone needs to mind their own business" - adding it's her and David's relationship.
"I don't wake up and think about these people every morning, so why are they thinking about me?" she says.
"Joni is making these assumptions that I'm using her father for money, and it really does p*** me off.
"His money is not why I want to be with him. Our relationship, it's healthy, it's fun.
"We just went to Tulum, Mexico, and then we go to New York, and then we've been to Disney.

"We're always on the go, doing something out of our home state. We are in a steady, committed relationship, 100%.
"David and I have talked about marriage, but it's not a priority right now. I'm in the process of moving in with David.
"I'm at his house 98% of the time. We have a child together, so it's obviously something very serious."
Furious with the situation, Joni even took to TikTok and posted a story about the situation, which Gina claims resulted in her receiving ";hateful messages."
She claims: "I had people calling me a money-hungry w***, saying 'How could you sleep with your friend's dad?' and calling my child that David and I have together really disgusting names.
"I even had people who I didn't even know message me, telling me they were going to come find me and whip my a**.
"It was extremely bizarre. I'm just really tired of people making assumptions about our relationship because Joni exaggerated a story.
"I really do care for David. So the bottom line is this relationship is real and Joni needs to get through her head that her father is a grown man and he can make his own life decisions."
However, when Dr Phil asks Gina why she hid the relationship from her friend in the first place, she claims David insisted he wanted to be the one to tell his daughter when it was the "right time."
David says despite his daughter’s disapproval, he's going to continue being in a committed relationship with Gina, but that doesn’t mean he can’t also have a relationship with his daughter.
"I've dated younger women but when there's a connection between a man and woman the age shouldn't matter," he admits.
"I live an active lifestyle and like to go mountain bike riding scuba diving, hiking and travelling and dating Gina has allowed me to continue to be active.
"Gina and I have a great relationship even though there is an age gap.

"We both like to travel, we've been to concerts together Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, we went to a JLo concert together.
"Gina is vibrant and outgoing. She's also not uptight about me having friends that are of the opposite sex."
