A WEDDING guest has been criticized after she showed two pictures of dresses she wanted to wear to the event.

People didn't think the outfits were appropriate for such a formal party, calling the options "truly terrible" and cheap.

An anonymous Reddit user posted : A royal blue dress and another that was greyish blue.

"6pm wedding, formal attire, too prom-y or cheap looking? Everything looks prom to me," the person wrote in the caption.

The question, shared with the subreddit, garnered a robust response from commenters.

The No. 1 answer was from someone who said to "keep looking."

Others, however, were more generous, explaining their answers.

"The first is better but still not good. Too lingerie with too high and open of a slit," one wrote.

"The first defines your waist more and is more flattering, but the slit is truly terrible," a second said.

"The second gives you zero shape except a box, so keep that in mind when deciding on a dress," he or she continued.
