While condensation isn't harmful - it can turn into mould, which is.

The NHS website states: "You're more likely to have respiratory problems, respiratory infections, allergies or asthma.

"Damp and mould can also affect the immune system."

Fortunately there's an easy cleaning hack to banish condensation which is particularly common in the mornings and it will last for weeks.

Taking to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, many shared the clever ways they get rid of the accumulation of moisture on windows.

And there seemed to be one trick that everyone agreed worked wonders - using washing up liquid.

“Put a bit of washing up liquid on a cloth and wipe around where the condensation is, it will stay away for a few days," said a member of the group who advised another on how to remove wet patches.

Another chimed in, writing: "Use kitchen roll with a small amount of washing up liquid on it and wipe it off, it works for me.”

A third person added: “Put some washing up liquid on a damp kitchen roll, wipe down, then leave it, works for me, will last three weeks.”

One TikToker decided to try the trick for herself after seeing the cleaning recommendation on social media.

Applying a generous amount of washing up liquid to a clean cloth, she rubbed it on the windows wiping away the water droplets.

Instead of wiping the solution off, she allowed it to dry over night - and she was left shocked by the results.

"I am amazed the following morning," she enthused, showing off the completely clear pain of glass.

Many claimed the hack meant you only had to do it every few weeks - saving you lots of time from drying the windows every morning.

You can also make sure to open the windows daily to allow the moisture to leave your house.

You can purchase a bottle of Fairy washing up liquid for as little as £2 from Tesco.

As you only need a big squeeze of the product every time, the hack will cost just 10p a go.
