‘Way too weird’ woman says as she’s left completely baffled by hidden opening under her house & what’s inside
A WOMAN was left in hysterics after discovering a hidden opening underneath her home.
Taking to social media, the woman shared a picture of the bizarre shrine of a Hollywood actor that took over the small opening.
A friend of the homeowner shared the pictures on Reddit and people were baffled by what the woman found.
You'd think the finding would be something out of a horror movie but that wasn't the case.
The bizarre find was in fact a shrine for Nicolas Cage, most famous for his roles in Leaving Las Vegas and National Treasure.
The dark enclosure was complete with candles, goblets and movie memorabilia as well as various pictures of the actor.
"When her mum saw it she got in there and cleaned it all out because she was way too weirded out by it.
"It must have been a set up by the previous owner.
"I only know that she was a middle-aged lady, not sure if she has kids."
The post soon went viral and many people were left in hysterics by the peculiar find.
One person wrote: "I bet you the previous owners did that as a joke before they left."
Another commented: "They probably built the house around the shrine as to Not disturb its sacred land."
"I think the former owner was Nicolas Cage himself," penned a third.
Others revealed the odd things they had found after moving into their properties.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "Neighbour had this. Person was living in her crawl space for a couple months- caught when another neighbour saw her sneaking out of the tiny door."
"Reminds me of the college I went to.
"One of the bathrooms had a crawlspace for access to the pipes and inside there was a shrine to the caretaker, complete with ornately framed picture of him, a Mars-bar sacrifice, candles, a fancy rug and incense,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: "I had something similar happen once. I helped my sister move into her house, it had an unfinished basement the previous owners were in the process of working on when they sold it."
"There was a room about 5ft by 5ft with concrete walls. Red paint had been splattered on the concrete reminiscent of blood."

"On the back wall, there was a large Red Cross with three names written at either side and the top. Those names were the Father, the Son, and The A-Team. My sister didn't primer it before she painted it white and the strange message seeped through. She almost had a heart attack when she saw it coming back."
