And with 22 kids and counting, the Radfords are doing just this.

The family are raising funds for a 16 year old family friend who is suffering from a rare type of cancer.

The young teenager, Sophie, is the daughter of their “best friends” Jamie and Rebecca Walker and the Radfords want to do all they can to help raise money for her treatment.

Sophie has Wilms’s tumour which is a type of kidney cancer and she was diagnosed with it when she was just 10 years old.

And in episode three of the Radfords Channel 5 show 22 Kids and Counting , which airs this Sunday, the family show exactly how they got together for Sophie.

The show will show how Britain’s biggest family is faced with the devastating news that Sophie’s cancer has returned and needs an expensive trip to America to get the best treatment.

The Radford’s rally the troops together to brainstorm some fundraising ideas, in which Casper, aged 11, has a brainwave.

He decides to part ways with his beloved toys and sell them in a carboot sale.

Speaking to camera on the show, mum of 22 Sue Radford says: “It’s definitely been nice that all of the kids can get involved to help Sophie.

"I think that’s the thing with having a big family is that everybody just wants to get involved and help others.”

And Noel, who is the dad of the 22, adds: “Yes, from the older ones to the younger ones, every one of them just wants to help out.”

Casper, who is the brainchild behind the fundraising, wants to do the best he can for Sophie.

He says: “It was my idea to do the car boot sale.

"I’ve been going around the house persuading people to give up old stuff that we don’t want, so that we can make money for Sophie.”

Sophie has to undergo treatment which includes getting Vitamin C through a canula twice a week.

The benefits of this procedure for cancer patients are still not 100 per cent proven - but her parents have openly praised its effects.

The Walkers, who are based in Edinburgh and have nine children, have been good friends with the Radford’s for some time as they bond over having a big family.

In this week’s episode of 22 Kids and Counting, viewers will also get to see Noel being forced to take on his fears as they go skiing

Sunday night’s episode will also show the Radfords taking a short break in Cornwall to provide some rest and recreation for the Walker family.

Sue and Noel also leave their son Josh, 16, at home, so he can learn to take care of himself without mum and dad.

Josh has been given a list of tasks to complete and he is now in charge of the laundry, cooking his own dinner and feeding the pets

After some time away in Cornwall, it is Father’s Day, which is a big celebration in the Radfords household.

Surrounded by a stretch of 22 cards and a family-made continental breakfast.

And finally, Noel is presented with his Father’s Day gift, a present that Sue hopes will help conquer Noel’s fear of heights.

Will Noel rise to the challenge and learn how to fly?

The Radford’s are one of Britain’s most popular families, but there can sometimes be a price to pay for it.

Sue and her hubby Noel this month revealed that they were forced to move after having nosey neighbours peeking through their gates.

The mum, 48, took to Instagram to reveal how strangers had been attempting to get a closer look of her big family.
