IT is said that love can overcome any obstacle, even the passage of time.
This is certainly true for one US couple who found love despite their 33 year age gap.
Whilst their relationship might not be conventional, Tim and Bekah's story started like many singletons - on an app.
Matching during the pandemic, in March 2020, the then-21 year old was eager to meet the older man and planned to meet in a local park.
Rather than enjoying a romantic stroll in the open, the couple were forced to meet in a car park of an elementary school across the street with Tim recalling: "We couldn't go to a restaurant, we couldn't go to a coffee shop, there was no place we could go to because Covid."
However, the 53-year-old won over the younger woman by opening the boot of his Ford Expedition to make a seat and the pair then spent hours talking together.
Though they shared an instant connection, they hadn't been looking for a relationship at the time with Bekah, now 24, admitting: "Neither of us were really looking for a relationship when we met each other...[so] there wasn't a huge intention upfront.
"We just knew that we connected and had a really good conversation and were attracted to each other."
This relaxed approach seemed to work as four years on, the couple are married and spend their time on the open sea in their boat sailing around with their two dogs.
They have even shared their unusual love story, documenting their life onboard an old trawler on YouTube - where they discuss the ups and downs of life at sea.

Though the newlyweds may have found happiness, the people around them were concerned.
Even members of the public make assumptions about the couple, with Tim, now 57, joking that most people "hope he has money" – not realising how modestly they live.
In fact, when the couple married they chose to have an intimate woodland ceremony in South Carolina with Bekah's best friend performing the service.
Instead of commenting on the couple's large age gap, Tim's family had a rather pointed response when they learned about his unconventional relationship.
"They're just like 'well if that makes you happy'. I heard that a lot,” he told viewers, adding: "Nobody really got into the questions that I knew were on their mind."
Bekah's family were also worried about the match, as she'd grown up as part of the strict Mormon Church as a child and later renounced her faith.
In fact, her sisters were a little taken aback when they first met her future husband.
Recalling the moment, Bekah revealed: "I've always sort been a black sheep...the first time that they met you was the first time that they realized what the age gap was."

However, Tim and Bekah are unfazed by their family's concerns and the sterotypes.
He even told viewers: "I don't like saying it's just a number but I also don't like putting much emphasis on it.”
