DESPITE having a lot of help with bringing up George, Charlotte and Louis, Kate Middleton has confessed she still has many of the same struggles other parents do.

During an interview with Giovanna Fletcher for her podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, Kate opened up about her life as a parent with William, and being a hands-on mum while still carrying out her royal duties.

Although her role isn't a traditional nine to five gig, Kate said she still feels plenty of mum guilt when she has to leave George, Charlotte and Louis behind.

In fact, the Princess of Wales added that anyone "who doesn't as a mother is actually lying."

She explained that being a parent is "a constant challenge" and she feels guilty when her children ask her why she does not always drop them off at school.

She said: "Even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here - George and Charlotte were like 'Mummy how could you possibly not be dropping us off at school this morning?'

"It's a constant challenge - you hear it time after time from mums, even mums who aren't necessarily working and aren't pulled in the directions of having to juggle work life and family life."

During the interview, which took place back in 2020, Kate also spoke about second guessing her decisions as a mum.

She said: "[You're] always sort of questioning your own decisions and your own judgements and things like that, and I think that starts from the moment you have a baby."

Despite the glamour Kate Middleton is known for, it turns out that she has a much more ‘normal’ mum life than you would imagine.

She even reportedly has a secret code she uses if she feels she needs to calm her children down when in public.

Author Tom Quinn wrote in his book : "When Prince Louis misbehaved at the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee, for example, by sticking his tongue out at his mother, Kate's reaction was praised by teams of expert commentators.

"She apparently used a secret code to calm the children, as she does on occasions - she simply says, 'Let's take a break'.

"But as a former staffer explained, the children know these few words carry far more weight than we might imagine."

Kate was recently praised by one royal expert for being such an involved mum, even skipping Prince William in Singapore for the Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony in order to help Prince George through his upcoming exams.

Jennie Bond told OK!: "I cheer every time I hear that Kate is putting her children first, and shame on anyone who criticises her for doing so," she .
