‘Expect to get bad service’ says flight attendant – if you hear secret code used on plane
A FLIGHT attendant has spilled the tea on what it means when you hear a certain word when you're traveling in the friendly skies.
She said to keep your ears open for a secret code onboard your flight because you may be the recipient of bad service.
The Sun's resident flight attendant blogger said: "If you're labeled a 'Philip' then you've done something wrong and should probably expect to get bad service for the rest of the flight.
The anonymous crewmember detailed that there is a specific acronym that flight attendants use that has a completely different tone than what you might think.
"That name originated from the term PILP - Passenger I'd Like to Punch - but has changed over time to become slightly more subtle," they explained.
To make sure that you're in the safe zone and steer clear of behavior that may be considered annoying, they shared some travel advice.

A major pet peeve of most flight attendants is ringing your call bell constantly.
Whenever someone rings the button, it could be two things: a medical emergency or someone wanting another drink.
Passengers are well within their right to ask for onboard service, but the flight attendant mentioned that it's important to be mindful of what's going on around them.
They are constantly up and down the aisles for regular drink and food service, so unless it's vital, stay put and be patient.

Airlines have since put rules in place to try and prevent travelers from filming others.
In addition, you're more than allowed to stretch your feet and walk around the plane, especially on long flights.
But if you're loitering in the galley or getting in the way of personnel being able to do their jobs, then that's an issue.
Also, if you're traveling with a fussy toddler who can't stop crying, it's not a big deal with cabin crew, even if other passengers can't handle it.
A big ick for on-board staff are people who can't deal with a crying baby for a few hours.
They advised bringing noise-canceling headphones, or if you're a nice person, offering to help the parent.
