In a Reel on , she said: "I'm so excited to share my Air Fryer perfect wedges hack with you.

"They're crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.

"So we're going to add some water to create steam.

"This helps them to cook quicker without drying."

Lou further explained the hack in the Reel caption, as she said that the trick is one she "uses all the time".

"My HACK is to add a small amount of water to the basket to create STEAM that helps the wedges to cook quicker without drying out!" she wrote.

"The water should evaporate during the cooking time.

"And you’ll be left with wedges that are CRISPY on the outside and SOFT on the inside."

She used 650g of Rooster potatoes, washed and cut into wedges.

She coated them in cooking oil, paprika and salt and pepper, before putting in her Ninja Air Fryer along with 80ml of water.

Air fryers vary but this worked perfectly in my Ninja air fryer.

"Air fry 200ºC for 12.5 minutes," she added.

"Then give them a shake, spray with more oil and add the paprika and another pinch of salt and pepper.

"Air fry again 200ºC for another 12.5 minutes."

And people in the comments were quick to comment on the Reel, with one writing: "Delicious Lou! I’ll have to give this hack a go!"

"Ooh that’s a great hack," another added.

"They look fab! Great hack," a third commented.

As someone else wrote: "Thanks for the water tip!"
